They're not at all what they show. I have tried calling them many times in case of dog accidents, and most of the time they haven't picked my call and other times they have clearly told they won't be able to keep the dog only they can suggest medicines... Even though I asked them then why they are running this shelter they said this is not to keep the animals.. Only to suggest medicines n all. If everyone would be able to keep animals then I guess there would be no need for shelter... Shelter is to help the injured animals... Some people try to help animals by trying to reach out to these shelters but if they respond in such a way... Nothing can be done. Sad and Shameful!
I have been trying their number but they seem to be on a holiday today. Requesting to rescue a puppy which is in a very bad condition at Lalita Ghat i.e. at the exit of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple towards Ganga Ji. I fed him with some biscuits & water. But that will not be enough. I will returning back to Delhi by this evening so requesting if someone from Varanasi can help this pup.
All they've cared about was talking a selfie with me! It almost broke my heart to not be sure, if it was the right decision to call 'Varanasi for Animals'. I found a paralized dog that couldn't move and was in such pain. I called the shelter at evening time and they've told me they will come and pick her up the next day even tho I wasn't sure if she'd survive the night. So we covered her in clothes and gave her water and food. The next day, I had to call them again, to asked if they're actually coming. They did, but they didn't bring an equipment to carry the dog to the shelter safely so they asked households around the area for an old piece of cloth.. I was shocked once I saw how roughly Ritika was picking up the dog and checking on her even tho she seams to have no idear about that dogs health. The dog was screaming from pain! She's used a piece of cloth to bend around the dogs moth is such a hard an rough way that makes me sick! The dog was not dangerous , nor was it biting anyone! But the most painful thing was, that the only thing Ritika cared about was talking a selfie with me. I was in such pain and so shocked I couldn't even say anything.. I wish I could have taken the dog with me because I know, that I would have done better. Anyone with a heart would have done better...! I do not recommend this shelter. Please try to find a shelter who actually loves animals.
They are scammer, even tho I rescue 7,8 dogs even some are in good condition but at end at there ngo all are dead, it seems they just keep donation, and charges of 1000 rs for pickup and drop, but seems they just pickup and keep them and don't treat, and even don't inform that the dog is dead, when you call they put all responsibility on you that why you don't call and take information but when you call they don't pickup the call, all i know is even my pet rabbit they operate is dead because they left 1 out of 3 dead baby inside my rabbit and they unable to pup but when I called they said to melt the shop and take a injection and inject it in the rabbit without middle, anyway all i understand for now is, sending here our dogs are just a contract with a yamraj for the death for sure. I found new ngo in babatpur they are awesome, and did great job I hope they don't became like this. Also when I research more about varanasi for animals I found they are also work for government bodies like varanasi nagar nigam soo they now don't care even you reached and the condition is serious there time is fixed. In Sarnath I found one calf whose right leg were broken and bleading when I call them they don't pickup the call, i call other ngo but they said they don't treat calf, suggesting to call varanasi nagar nigam or animal welfare help line I tried to call helpline 50-60 times continuously but i failed at the end, in even i get replied to my photo send on WhatsApp to varanasi for animals they said they only treat dogs and cats, which totally breaks me. NGO are madup for the good initiative and fight for the good and safe society for the animals all animals are same voiceless, but i found no one care in reality. At the end i found this is not anyone single mistake it's a systematic mistakes due to government negligence towards our animal, if government contribute then the work were distributed and get perfection all where, even from the government funds 1cr even allotted for a year to open ngo then we found there are many ngos working towards the vaccination of animals and taking care, which even help to reduce the growth rates of the animals, but we failed as a human. I never call them again when I lost my hope in them.
I am very impressed when this charity. I reported a sick dog that I saw in Varanasi while travelling through. I got a quick response and the dog was picked up the next day. Keep up the great work!
