Dr nikunj Exceptional Care at v care Pet Clinic – Dr. Nikunj Deserves the Highest Praise I had my six-year-old dog, Susy, undergo a uterus operation at V Care Pet Clinic, Jupiter Chowk, performed by Dr. Nikunj in December. However, within three days post-surgery, Susy began vomiting severely. Upon conducting further tests, we discovered that she had developed a kidney issue, with her creatinine levels rising alarmingly. Despite consulting both Dr. Nikunj and seeking a second opinion at Anand Veterinary, there was no significant improvement. The medications were slightly adjusted, but her creatinine levels kept climbing. By the third report, her creatinine had reached 5, which was extremely concerning. Throughout this challenging time, Dr. Nikunj never gave up, even when the situation seemed hopeless. He continued with the treatment diligently, while I, unfortunately, failed to make the necessary changes to Susy’s diet, which hindered the medication’s effectiveness. As a result, her creatinine shot up to 9+, a life-threatening level. For over a month, Susy underwent continuous treatment, including 15 days of saline therapy. However, she grew increasingly weak and weary. Watching her lose hope was heartbreaking. Just when it seemed like we were out of options, I made a critical decision—I overhauled her diet, cutting out all non-vegetarian protein, which is known to aggravate creatinine levels. I switched to a kidney-supportive diet and stopped all non-essential medications, keeping only those necessary for her kidneys. To my relief, Susy gradually began to recover. Now, two months later, she is completely healthy. This experience taught me several valuable lessons: • Don’t push your pet beyond their limits—treatment can be taxing, and sometimes, less is more. • Have faith in the process, but also trust your instincts as a pet parent. • Diet plays a vital role in kidney health. Non-veg proteins, especially in older dogs, can strain their kidneys, so introducing vegetarian food early on can prevent complications. Throughout this journey, Dr. Nikunj remained incredibly supportive and compassionate. Even when I sought a second opinion, he encouraged me to do what gave me peace of mind. His empathy shown through when he realized I was financially strained—he graciously waived around ₹6,000–₹8,000 of the treatment cost for Free , which was an immense help after I had already spent approximately ₹30,000. His dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment to Susy’s recovery were truly remarkable. He treated her not just as a patient but as his own child. His professionalism and compassion make him stand out. For anyone in Vadodara, especially in the Manjalpur area, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Nikunj. His treatment approach is gentle yet effective—he believes in doing what is necessary without resorting to harsh or excessive measures.
