Its a government clinic. First I would like to say there is no Casualty unit for emergencies. The minor actions like IV, injections, are performed by second year students on university. Some of them.are not able to find vein for injection. And the animal become uncomfortable and struggled. Some of them inject bubbles during injection. Anyway your pet is a specimen for study for some hours. Students write case observations. may be not clear its better You need ask your animals and.next day you need explained to next doctor. But the gynecology unit have better experienced peoples. But you will be forced to come here because in this clinic have x rays. Ultrasound scan. And laboratory.

Extremely busy!!! But, that is to be expected. The rates for opening a file is just 30 rupees! In this day and age, this is unheard and quite a blessing for many. Now, despite being a govt organisation, it is relatively well run and well maintained. Must appreciate that. Timings - pls see attached photo. Do note that due to covid, they are giving out tokens only after 8.45ish. Instead of the usual 8 am. But even now, huge lines. So pls be prepared to wait a while. The tests which your animals might require vary from 15 mins to 30 mins or so for the results to come out. Doctors- we were lucky enough to get Dr Vinod, the HOD. Amazing doctor!! The way he handles your animals and the way he explains things to you in an unhurried non condescending manner was such a such a huge relief and a delight. Wish all the vets were as sensitive to the animals as he is. Lots of common misconceptions were cleared up as well. Really grateful to him 🙏🏽. Fair warning, lots of students around. Some points to be noted - if you are bringing a dog or a cat. Pls put them in their basket/carrier or on a leash. Carry some water for them as it might be a long wait. Not all animals are trained equally so please keep a distance if possible. Once you get the token (from the OP registration counter on the right once you enter the premises), have to wait in line outside ward 2 non infectious diseases, they will call out your token number. If you have to show your test results, unfortunately you have to use the same line (kindly use indian jugaad to show test results). Try to remember the name of the doctor or the student treating your animal in case you have to go back for showing test results. Overall - great place 👍🏽

Came here with my cat after a dog attack. It was clearly an emergency, but there was no urgency. I was made to take a ticket and wait like it was a normal visit while my cat was in critical condition. My cat was examined outside on a table for a long time, exposed to wind. Most of the handling was done by junior staff who did not seem experienced. They struggled to restrain my cat properly, got scratched multiple times, and overall looked unsure of what they were doing. No senior doctor properly examined my cat, and there was very poor communication about what was happening. The only treatment given was IV fluids. The doses looked very large for such a small cat. After the second IV dose, my cat worsened very quickly. She started having seizures, severe breathing difficulty, and frothing at the mouth. Only after the seizures did a senior doctor step in and take my cat to the critical care unit, where she passed away within minutes. What made this especially painful was the feeling that proper emergency attention came far too late. Watching my cat deteriorate like that was devastating. So maybe don’t bring your cat here for emergency cases, unless you want them to be neglected and left to worsen right in front of you.
