I am really happy about their service. They have experienced professionals to handle our pets. They also have all the medicines available at the hospital itself so we don't have to worry about purchasing it from a pharmacy.

My baby Raven died unexpectedly after treating at this clinic for 13 days. Raven was a gorgeous, 7-year old female cat. I took her here as she had a dental issue. At the time of her death, the clinic wasn’t able to tell me why she died. I later consulted several vets across the country. When I took Raven in, Dr Annie Varghese opened her mouth, performed only a physical examination, and decided it was gingivitis. She gave her Enrofloxacin (antibiotic) and Meloxicam (painkiller) injections for 5 days. I was also told to give several medicines at home (Orapet, PetSet, Digyton, Metrogyl and Semolyte). On Day 1, I told them that Raven had recently started passing urine outside the litter (indicative of kidney issues). They did not check her kidneys before starting medicines. Raven stopped pooping after the injections began. I informed the vets about this as soon as I knew (Day 3). On Day 4, I again said this but no related advice was given. This could be because different Adonai vets handled her each day. On Day 5, Dr Annie advised giving 3.5 ml Liquid Paraffin orally to induce motion. Raven passed dark urine on Day 6 after 5 days of injections (high in quantity and stinky). I took her for a review on Day 7 and told Dr Annie about this. She finally advised a blood test. Dr Annie opened Raven’s mouth that day, again did a physical examination, and decided to give the same injections for 3 more days. The blood tests revealed a low platelet count and an elevated CPK value the same day. They advised herbal medicines for both and assumed the elevated CPK was heart-related. Her creatinine levels were high (just within range). Despite this, they gave her Enrofloxacin and Meloxicam (potentially nephrotoxic) injections for 3 more days! Raven stopped eating by herself around Day 8. She began to go sit by herself and was very lethargic and weak. She also lost weight very quickly, and there was a smell around her mouth. The clinic asked me to force feed her and to give coconut water. Her fatigue was starting to scare me, so I took her to the clinic again. They gave her a drip (Day 11). The next day (Day 12), she passed red colored urine. Dr Annie asked to give her kanji vellam in case of renal failure. The next day (Day 13), she started panting in the afternoon. I took her to the clinic. They gave her emergency medicine but she passed away after struggling for 2 hours. I couldn’t believe what had happened. I had taken care of her for 7 years, and she was gone, just like that, over 13 days of being treated for a dental issue! A few days later, I asked again for an explanation. Dr Annie said she died of hypovolemic shock from low platelet count from unknown reasons. That she would have dropped dead over 13 days if she had just stayed home. I spoke to several vets afterwards. The medicines they gave, Enrofloxacin and Meloxicam, can damage kidneys in high doses. Meloxicam use in cats is controversial as it can cause kidney injury. Though she had other health issues, Raven died of renal failure. Not only did they miss several signs of kidney issues after starting the medicines (not pooping, black and tarry stool the 2 times she did poop (I had told them)), but despite her high creatinine, they gave her potentially nephrotoxic medicines for 3 more days (8 days in total!). At the time, I didn’t know any of this. Shockingly, the discharge sheet given on request said the injection course was given for 5 days and stopped! There was no mention of renal failure or the additional 3 days! Despite my grief, I had asked for a postmortem when she passed. Dr Annie said they did not have the facility to do that. The worst part is I learned later that the treatment for gingivitis is the removal of teeth. It is well-known that antibiotics don’t do much. My baby lost her life for absolutely nothing. They will try to disparage this review but this is what happened. Incorrect and non-technical diagnosis and not knowing basic warnings/keeping up with research is why this happened. I strictly don't recommend this clinic for your pets. My family took our cat to this clinic after a minor accident, they took an x-ray and the results showed minor fractures. The doctor insisted that our cat needed to undergo a surgery to walk again, and the chances of our cat walking again even if they performed the surgery was slim. This was a very scary situation for us but we felt something was off and decided to show him to another vet before proceeding with the surgery. My cat didn't need any surgery and has fully recovered from the accident, he is walking and running like before. This clinic just wants to make money and I'd suggest you take your beloved pets elsewhere.

Please do not take your pets if you want them alive. I am an Animal welfare activist and a hardcore animal lover. I knew Dr. Annie Varghese since they were running consultations at Kumarapuram. I had Faith in her. But now I lost it for good. My kitten was very active on the first day when we started her treatment at Dr. Annie's Adonai Animal Care center. Even though she was affected by parvovirus ( Pan leukopenia) she was taking food and water by herself. But after starting the treatment at Adonai by a staff Vet her name starts with the letter 'S', honestly I forgot her name. She made such ignorance on treatment before also. But now we don't have any other options. We lost all faith in all veterinary doctors in the district. Annie just helped her lady staff vet in between on the first day. Hereafter my baby's condition went down. She stopped taking food by herself. Not even having water by herself. I couldn't even find a bit of improvement after giving her a load of IV and injections. Again the second day I took my baby to Adonai. Repeated the same. Vet Arun was the one who attended my pet. Arun and one Vet nurse tried hard to get a vein for IV. They got the vein but failed to sustain the needle there itself. The needle came out by their ignorance and they blamed something else and justified themselves.( the same happened there in Adonai two years back too). This is the reason why once I took my kitten, he was hardly 3 months old and I took him to one of the known vets in Trivandrum. No improvement nothing. By evening he got brain death. Suddenly I started feeding him glucose water every 20. Took a ticket to Ernakulam to visit Dr. Zoo hospital. I travelled all the way from Trivandrum to Kochi with my tiny kitten Simba. Keep on feeding him glucose water every 20 mins of intervals throughout 6 hours till I reached Cochin. Reached there at midnight. And rushed to the hospital with my baby Simba. It was one of my wise decisions to take my Simba to Dr. Zoo. Now he's 1 Year and 8 months year old and very healthy looks like a lion. If some veterinary hospitals like Dr. Zoo can perform very well in the case of banishing panlukopenia then why other veterinary doctors like these can't do the same? Their( Dr. Zoo) efficiency met my needs. Here they lack it. Sorry to say that. I uploaded new kitten's video : look at her how active she was on the first day. Another video I took last night, can see her conditions going worse.

I am new to the city and so naturally when my pet Chulbul fell ill,I did not know which Vet to try. After going through 3 vets,I was on the verge of giving up because 1. No one was ready to go that extra mile 2. Lack of compassion. That is when Chulbul was referred to Dr. Annie. I was finally at peace because she took the correct steps, identified the problem almost immediately and treatment started. The problem was big,the treatment is taking time but my furr baby is on the road to recovery and I have finally found a vet and team who gives me confidence. Thank you Ammu,Dr. Nishida, Dr. Priyanka and of course Dr. Annie.. deeply grateful.
