I’m grateful for the care my cat received at Central Vets Small Animal Clinic. Doctor Satish Patil explained the condition and the procedure, which really helped me feel at ease. The procedure went smoothly, and the cat was clearly in reliable hands. The staff were friendly and responsive, making the whole experience stress-free. Thank you to the team for your professionalism and kindness.
I was recommended this place for sonography for my pet dog. When I visited the place the lady at the reception asked me if a had an appointment and when I told her I didn't... she said that there was no use of my visit as they couldnt consider me without an appointment and told me they are very busy and will not be able to accommodate me till next day evening. I said I did not mind the next day appointment as I did not have any other choice. She asked me for all the details and told me she would book an appointment for me as soon as she had all the details. I send the details she's asked for within the next 15 mins minutes to which I did not get any response. After about an hour I called the place again saying that a had sent the details and would like to know when my appointment for next day would be, to which I was told I will receive a message about the same with all the details. By the time I reached home it was already more than an hour of no reply after the phone call. I thought of trying to contact some other place as I was WORRIED for my pet and wanted to have him checked as early as possible. I found out about Dr. Chariar's clinic near tikujiniwadi and called the place saying I needed an appointment for the same day asking if they could help. I got a call within the next 10mins, that i could have my appointment at 4 pm in the evening ( just 2.5hrs from the time I called ) i visited the place with my pet, the staff was super excellent, the scan was done, the doctors were great and explained everything thoroughly and i was back home before 6. And to no one's suprise this place ( central vets ) had not even READ THE DETAILS I HAD SENT THEM. SO PLEASE I WONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE UNLESS ALL THE OTHER PLACES HAVE STOPPED EXISTING FROM THIS WORLD. SHOUTOUT TO Dr. Chariar's clinic... Always, Anyday over this place 🙏🏼🙏🏼
If you’re an invested pet parent like me, this review might help you make an informed choice for your pet and yourself: I first came across Central Vets (I'll use 'CV' from here on) through a cat rescuer friend, who told me something that really shocked me: most vets vaccinate cats in the wrong spots, which can cause a rare but dangerous condition. She said only the doctors at CV not only vaccinate in the correct spots, but also note it down (I had never seen that at any clinic in Mumbai - even the fancy ones) on the records which they hand over to you for your documentation. That alone made me want to try CV, and it’s been 3 years now. Since then, Dr. Patil has become our doctor. As a pet parent, every single decision about your pet’s health - food, water, medicine, treatment, when, how much, how little,... - feels like it rests on you. One mistake and the responsibility is yours. That’s why finding someone you can fully trust is so important. For us, that’s Dr. Patil. We blindly trust his advice. But it’s not just Dr. Patil - Dr. Shelar and the whole team are equally gentle, professional, and caring. At other clinics, it used to take 3–4 people to pin my 3kg cat down just to check her weight or give her a tablet. At CV, she often comes out of the carrier on her own, and even on days when she’s stressed from the travel (we live a bit far), they patiently wait and use kind techniques. That matters so much to me. Another big thing: hygiene. I’ve seen some top-rated clinics in Mumbai that are shockingly unhygienic. At CV, it’s always spotless. Plus, their new space makes it all the more better - it is not only bigger but also super clean, airy, and comfortable for pets. There's also plenty space to sit and pace around with your pet in the waiting area. I’ll share one example: during the rains I couldn’t travel all the way to CV, so I gave in and visited a local vet for my cat’s ear infection. Big mistake. Not only was the place unhygienic, but she also ended up catching the flu there. We wasted money, she suffered, and I felt stressed and guilty. That same evening I called CV, Dr. Patil recommended an ear drop, and within 3 days she was already so much better. Later, when we could make a visit, we went in for her proper treatment. That’s when I realized trust is everything, and we blindly trust our doctor. Another plus if you are cat lover!: CV also cares for strays! Their old clinic had a tomcat called Damodar, and now their new space has another sweetie hanging around (with his own litter box haha). But don’t worry, the hygiene never slips. The clinic is still super clean and safe. Lastly, a special mention to the lady at the reception who manages calls, appointments, and queries. She’s always kind and efficient, and has often helped us connect with the doctors when we couldn’t make it to the clinic or when it was after hours. In short, CV is our safe space, and we rank it 5⭐️ on all parameters. I've recommended it to my friends, acquaintances, and fellows from the cat parent community. If you genuinely care about your pet’s health and wellbeing, I can’t recommend them enough.
I am giving one star only because the review cannot be posted without selecting a star; otherwise, this vet does not deserve even a single star. Our beloved pet cat passed away due to prolonged treatment at this clinic where proper and timely medical care was not provided. Worst experience overall. My cat had a pus-filled wound on the stomach area, yet for almost an entire month no medicines or ointments were prescribed. During every dressing, the vet used only saline and did not apply even basic antiseptic solutions or any healing ointment. We repeatedly requested medication to control the pus and infection, but nothing was given for a month. After repeated insistence, the doctor after a month finally prescribed medicines for pus prevention and a wound-healing spray, but by then the damage had already been done. We also asked whether any skin tests were required, as the wound was not healing and my cat had experienced a similar wound in the same area about a year earlier. The doctor denied the need for any tests and stated that none were required. Despite this, the doctor continued giving injections on every visit and instructed us to administer them twice daily for an entire month. We clearly informed the vet that continuous bandaging was causing our cat severe discomfort and difficulty in urinating and passing stool. Our concerns were ignored, and the same bandaging was continued at every visit. Instead of improving, the wound worsened drastically and became almost four times larger. During dressing, we witnessed the originally small wound enlarged and develop a deep internal hole, which was extremely distressing as pet owners. We also raised concerns about breathing issues, but no tests or treatment were provided for this either. On one visit, we waited over an hour for the doctor while he was busy discussing charges for another patient with the another doctor. We clearly observed him indicating by hand signs whether to charge ₹9,000 or ₹10,000, after which ₹10,000 was decided. This gave us a strong impression that financial matters were being prioritized over patient care. We expected timely diagnosis, proper wound management, transparency in treatment, and genuine concern for our pet’s health. Unfortunately, none of this was provided. We are deeply disappointed and would not recommend this vet based on our experience. If you love your pet, please do not go here. Do not trust this vet.
