Civil Hospital Rajkot

Saurashtra's biggest govt. Hospital. It has trauma centre , emergency centre and general opd facility. In recent years covid building has been added. Campus is large. Doctors and nursing staff do their best efforts . As number of patients are large, staff has to do hard work. Even though services of civil hospital are quite effective compare to private hospitals, as 24/7 free medical services are available to each person.

Very bad hospital Hii Im from Assam,i got accident on 3oct 2025, morning 4am approx so I got admit, mera chota bhai mere paas tha usse idea usko kuch malum nahi kidar jayega kya karna padega staff behave rud akele chota bhai trolley me leke idhar udhar ja rahe the thy dont even help .knee broken 💔 Doctor ne bola next morning operation karna padega morning Ko operation k leya ready kar raha tha ek staff ne urine pipe dala it's over pain and leakage i called him brother was calling but they ignore i shouted very louder than 1 doctor come he take off n try to put again,i said don't put I'm not doing any treatment here I'll go home and me and my brother come out from there and admitted to Ahmedabad civil hospital very good everyone doctor nurse staff security guard All are good 👍😊 and supportive just like own family

Extremely Disappointing and Distressing Experience I am giving 1 star based on my family’s personal experience, which has been deeply painful and disturbing. During the Corona period, my father was given the Covishield vaccine without asking about his existing medical conditions. At that time, my father was already suffering from multiple health problems, yet no questions were asked, no prior medical reports were checked, and no tests of any kind were conducted before administering the vaccine. This lack of basic medical assessment was extremely irresponsible. After this, my father passed away in 3 months and this experience has left our family completely shattered. Another extremely troubling incident happened when we went for a medical certificate for an exam. During the process, we were asked to remove all clothes, including underwear, even though the same certificate could have been issued through alternative and more respectful medical methods. This was humiliating and unnecessary. On top of that, a simple medical certificate took three full days, causing mental stress, wasted time, and harassment. The overall attitude felt careless, insensitive, and lacking basic human empathy.

As compared to other government hospitals nearby this is best by far in terms of infrastructure and facilities available. Really appreciate the young staff of P.D.U. who are working there for making the life more convenient and hassle free. If you're coming from metro cities, and rajkot is your place then this is where you should go if you are looking for government hospital. Only thing is you need to come early to avoid rush. Staff will guide you where to go.

Many facilities including OPD, Trauma, General Vaccination, ICU etc. An integrated facilities. Being a government run Public Hospital, you tend to find service issue due to overcrowded by patients and relatively less staff and facilities. Parking is sufficient.
