When we first voiced the desire to embrace pet parenthood, there were diverse opinions that came our way. We’re parents to a 6 YO son and people suggested getting a docile, easygoing, peaceful and “family-friendly” companion. We chose a Doberman. Known to be an extremely aggressive breed, people warned us it would be a decision we’d regret. We were convinced however that these severely misunderstood “gentle giants” had a bad reputation and several preconceived notions formed due to ignorant parenting. Enter Kaustubh. He convinced us we could not have been more right about our choice. Kaustubh guided us brilliantly throughout the entire process of understanding these magnificent creatures, educating us about breed-specific behaviour patterns and personality traits. First of all, Kaustubh is extremely well informed and well read. His insights mirror his love for and commitment to understanding the canine psyche. His arguments and explanations are based on logic and scientific principles, a wealth of knowledge nurtured through years of experience. We loved that about him. He gave science-backed, reasonable and relatable explanations as to why our Doberman behaved the way he did. Kaustubh’s “Calibre” was tested in every way possible throughout our journey with him as a trainer to Eddie, our headstrong, confident Doberman with an ability to demand attention and need for constant reassurance . Teething, an issue we struggled with immensely, given that Dobermans have a slightly more “intense” teething cycle than regular breeds, and that we had the safety of a 6YO son to worry about, was handled tactfully and patiently by Kaustubh. He guided us through the process of channelising Eddie’s excess energy through exercises and techniques tailored to our unique situation. At the peak of our progressive training, there was another obstacle Kaustubh had to overcome: an invasive surgery that Eddie had to undergo because he accidentally swallowed a chew toy. The harrowing experience was nothing like we had ever experienced as a family. Eddie was in surgery for 6 hours with almost 50% of his intestines removed due to damage caused by the obstruction. Kaustubh not only gave us the moral and emotional support we needed through the hospitalisation process but also customized our training post-op, fitting well with the recovery precautions and restrictions. I remember being alone and afraid in the hospital, with my husband taking care of our son at home and Kaustubh going above and beyond to visit me at the hospital and offering some much-needed support, advice and humour. We are forever grateful for this. I don’t think anyone would do so much. Kaustubh became family. When Eddie returned home, Kaustubh’s texts of reassurance and his frequent visits were what sped up the recovery process. When we received the doctor’s permission to resume training, Kaustubh’s tailor-made strategy and unceasing guidance was what ensured Eddie was well exercised, as his breed demands, but not too much as his condition was still fragile. I have never seen an individual face these many challenges and navigate through them so effortlessly, hitting every curveball straight out of the park. We applaud his dedication, compassion, commitment and knowledge to help us first-time pet parents through a traumatising and difficult experience. We could not have done it without him. Upon complete recovery, Kaustubh flawlessly transitioned to Eddie’s regular training techniques, as if the surgery had been just a nightmare. Today Eddie is a loveable, obedient, affectionate and protective fellow who is healthy, happy and an integral part of our little family. Kaustubh made it happen and we are forever indebted to him for helping us form this beautiful bond. Our “aggressive and violent” puppy has now transformed into a caring, confident, fierce protector and the most loyal friend our son has ever had. Kaustubh made sure our family got the best canine companion we could ever asked for, strengthening our bond with a creature so severely misunderstood and unappreciated.

Kaustubh is a very good dog trainer. He understands psychology of the pup very well.. we have seen dogs of different breeds trained by him quite well..We have a beagle, a breed stubborn by nature. But Kaustubh has trained her really well. His training and simple tips have made pet parenting very easy for us. Would definitely recommend him.

Kaustubh is an exceptional dog trainer. He successfully addressed the issue I approached him with, which other trainers couldn't resolve. My 4-year-old GSD used to bark incessantly inside the car at passing vehicles, causing us significant distress.
