I lost my rabbit a month back because of Dr Nihar. My rabbit had dental problem and I was taking him to Dr Nihar. I was recommended by another vet whom I was consulting. During one of the surgery I could hear my rabbit scream. That was the first time I heard him scream like this. Two months back we went to him for grinding. The surgery was done. We came back home late evening. Morning when we woke up we saw my rabbit was not able to walk. His one side of the body was all black and swollen up. Spoke to Dr Nihar, he said he will be fine in 2 days but it did not happen. The side were the injection was given had blood clot from stomach till his leg area. His testicles became hard like a stone. He could not walk, had difficulty passing urine and stool. When contacted Dr Nihar he said he will be fine in 10 days. A month passed but my rabbit was the same. On 16 th July,he saw his condition and said will do the grinding. Asked me to go out and wait. Overheard him saying give the anaesthesia nicely as he is used to the dose. And thn after 10 min I was called and told he collapsed during the surgery. It was because of the overdose of anaesthesia that my rabbit died. I will never forgive you Dr Nihar. Surgeries are performed in the same place where he sees his patients. They talk, they laugh, answer phone calls mid of surgery. You are playing with life's of these animals. I know Dr' s are not GOD but these mistakes are not acceptable.
Our baby cockatiels (picture 1) were looking ill and our regular vet was out of town. He recommended we go here. We were immediately comforted by the fact that the head doctor had a cockatoo (picture 2) who looked very healthy, well-adjusted and comfortable. We had to wait for a bit but there was a lovely snacks center next door, and lots of nice people also with their pets waiting to be seen. Once we went in, the illness was quickly diagnosed and treated. We really liked Dr Jayakar and his staff, they were accommodating and knowledgeable.
One of the most arrogant vets. A friend of mine whose cat has CKD needed saline. After confirming on call if he could administer it, the cat was taken there and after making them wait he refused to even look at the cat. Additionally he kept demeaning them and taunting them for not bringing the cat to him even though he was her primary doctor and they had only approached TFF for neutering as Pawprints is insanely expensive. My personal experience has been where my cat was given injectible antibiotics for a week without any reason. He also recommended a dry food with extreme salt for my kitten which I fortunately figured before feeding them. Better options available around- 1) The Pet Care Clinic (grooming, vaccinations, routine care etc) 2) Blue Vets, Borivali for serious issues/ emergencies 3) Feline Foundation for Neutering/ spaying At the least they are respectable towards the patients and our pets.
I was a pet parent of a Turtle named Ted. Ted was diagnosed with egg binding to which the doctor recommended a surgery here. However after the operation, Ted’s condition worsened. My baby stopped eating and excreting to which my mother got him to this clinic EVERYDAY to feed her because we still had some hope. Ted survived for 5 months without excretion god knows how, but on the 8th of September Ted’s body slowly became unresponsive, we quickly went to another hospital but ted passed away in the car in my arms, my family is shattered since that time. I recommend all the pet parents to be very careful - always check the medicines that the doctors give before and after the operation, we had to ask them a hundred times to write down the medicines that they are giving so that we are aware. I don’t want others to go through the pain we are going through. In general too, for any hospitals Please check the staff that they have, make sure they are professionals. Stay safe and please pray for my baby turtle.
Dr. Nihar has saved my cat Jack’s life twice over the last few years, and I cannot recommend him enough. Jack is a big cat (around 8 kgs) and struggles a lot at the clinic. He does not allow anyone to easily hold him or treat him. In the past, other vets and handlers at different clinics had given up on treating him and advised me to use an anesthetic spray before every visit, which I refused to do. Dr. Nihar and his team, however, handle Jack with remarkable patience, skill, and care—without unnecessary sedation. Three years ago, they nursed him back to health when he was suffering from serious liver and kidney issues. Earlier this year, Jack suddenly developed a limp. Dr. Nihar suspected diabetes just from observing the limp, and test reports later confirmed it. Jack was diagnosed with diabetic neuropathy, a rare complication of high blood sugar. Dr. Nihar immediately started him on insulin, and within a month, his glucose levels were finally well under control. There is still a long journey ahead toward remission, but with Dr. Nihar and the Paw Prints team, I am confident Jack is in the best possible hands. I am beyond grateful for their expertise, patience, and dedication. 🙏🐾
