The Rooftop Restaurant at Hotel Saraca (Lebua formerly) at Mall avenue is an apt place for get togethers and dinner. We had a group dinner and the entire Rooftop was booked for the gathering with selected buffet. The cream of chicken soup and starters were good. For main course there was mutton galaouti kabab/ vegetable kabab with parathas, egg counter serving egg bhurji/ omlette with pav and pasta at live counter. The live counter was also there for Mongolian rice/noodles with veggies.Mutton Biryani and vegetable biryani with dal makhani was there as well. The desert was chocolate brownie and kale gajar ka halwa. Decent food and great party venue with rooftop, bar and dancing area.
The Saraca provides a luxury oasis in a quiet part of Lucknow. My wife and I stayed for 2 nights. The room was fantastic, with its blend of old-world charm and modern convenience. There is a choice of restaurants - both are excellent. Two minor points however: 1) the upstairs bar area didn't open until 7pm - we would have loved for it to be open from lunchtime, to that we could enjoy a meal and a drink on the balcony; and 2) whilst Satyam (the upstairs bar manager) was very attentive - he also tended towards being overbearing and intrusive. The buffet breakfast (which was included in our room rate) was outstanding - top marks to all of the chefs and assistant chefs! The front-of-house staff were knowledgeable, helpful and polite. Overall - I highly recommend this peaceful and classy hotel.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Saraca Hotel truly feels like a palace—its haveli-style architecture and serene ambience create an experience unlike any other in Lucknow. I’ve known this place since 2015 and have spent over a decade attending events here: a 7-day program, I conducted when it was Lebua, multiple conferences, BNI meets, Literature Fest, wine tastings, CII and YI events, and several celebrations. The consistency in vibe, service, and heritage charm is remarkable. It’s quiet, elegant, and perfect for both leisure and professional gatherings. Easily one of the best places to stay or hang out in Lucknow if you appreciate culture, calm, and nawabi sophistication. #YogeshVerma #ShilpiVerma #NLP #NLPTraining #Coaching #Personal Growth #Mindset #TrainerReview #CoachExperience #ProfessionalFeedback #BehaviorExpertInsights #RealCustomerExperience #QualityObservation #ServiceStandards #HospitalityReview #ExperienceMatters #ReviewedByAProfessional
This is a beautiful heritage hotel, based in a spectacular old mansion, which has been tastefully converted to a luxury hotel. It oozes charm and style. Breakfast was excellent with great choice and service from Komal and Vivek the restaurant manager, who supplied our every need and helped us plan our day. The rooftop bar is fantastic, and the restaurants give great choice and excellent quality food, we particularly enjoyed the Italian restaurant 1936, which had very good Italian food. The only area I might suggest is in need of improvement is the swimming pool which is looking a bit neglected, but I would imagine that too will soon be elevated to the same quality as the rest of the hotel.
I am extremely disappointed with the level of service and professionalism displayed by this hotel. The team is highly unorganised and completely lacks basic coordination. Despite making my reservation a day in advance for a normal dinner, I was repeatedly pushed at the last moment to opt for a Valentine’s package. This should have been clearly communicated upfront if the restaurant intended to operate only on packages. What made the experience worse was the constant back-and-forth follow-ups. For something as simple as a dinner reservation, I had to make calls and chase confirmations for nearly two days. This is unacceptable. Even Reputed hospitality brands such as Taj Hotels would also never treat their regular guests in this manner. Guest service is fundamental in hospitality, and here it was completely absent. Coming from a hospitality background myself, I can confidently say that if a restaurant plans to function only on special packages during an occasion, that policy must be clearly communicated from the very beginning. Packages are meant to be ancillary revenue streams not forced upgrades disguised as last-minute sales tactics. Regular reservations should either be accepted alongside packages or transparently declined at the first point of contact. The team demonstrated zero hospitality etiquette and poor guest handling. Instead of focusing on service excellence, it appears they are more occupied with aggressive marketing tactics. If this continues, I genuinely question their ability to retain guests in the long run. Unfortunately, this experience has completely spoiled my perception of the place, and I will not be dining here again anytime soon.
