Dr Shajees pet clinic and grooming centre

Excellent care and professional service I recently visited Dr shajis pet clinic for my dog Treatment and grooming, I had a great experience. Previously i visited many of pet grooming centers for his grooming but now iam sarisfied because they groomed my pet very neat and well. The staff was very friendly, and the veterinarian was extremely knowledgeable and caring towards my pet. They explained everything clearly and handled my pet with compassion and patience. The clinic was clean, well-organized, and the waiting time was minimal. I truly felt my pet was in safe hands. I highly recommend this clinic to all pet parents looking for reliable veterinary care. Thank you to the entire team for your service.

I had the chance to visit Dr Shajees clinic in Thondayad, Calicut, along with my friend who had rescued a little kitten. The kitten was very sick, so we took it to the veterinary clinic for treatment. The care and guidance provided there were excellent and very supportive. Since it was a rescued animal, they charged only ₹100, which was really thoughtful.

We recently took our 2-month-old puppy for her first grooming at this clinic. While the staff seemed kind during the visit, unfortunately, just two days later, our puppy developed blisters and rashes on her belly. Concerned, we consulted a different vet who examined her and informed us that the likely cause was an irritation from the shampoo used during grooming. As first-time pet parents, we were unaware of what products are suitable for such young puppies, and we had trusted the clinic to make safe choices. It’s been stressful seeing our little one in discomfort, and she's now on medicated cream to help her heal. I sincerely hope the clinic will be more cautious in future, especially when handling very young puppies. Gentle, puppy-safe products and clearer communication with pet parents could help avoid such incidents. This was a difficult experience for us and our puppy, and I would urge the clinic to review their grooming protocols carefully. Please note that this is not a fake review. I had informed the staff that it was our puppy’s first bath, and she is just 2 months old. Our current vet has strictly advised not to give antibiotics at this age. Also, I don’t recall the age being noted down in the register. That said, I have no complaints about the behavior of the staff—they were genuinely sweet and kind. This feedback is only to highlight what our puppy had to go through, so similar situations can hopefully be prevented for other pets.

PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR CATS OR DOGS HERE THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY!!!! I raised my cat like my own child and he was very healthy. But few months ago he got like ringworm and took him to countless amounts of doctors and they weren't able to cure it. But then we decided to take him here and they gave him some injection and a medicine called itracozanole. We trusted the doctors and gave him the medicine but as soon as we started giving the medicine he became very weak, skinny, and stopped eating. But we still forced him to eat by making him his favourite chicken soup and potato so he eats something. But this got worse by time and it didn't even cure the ringworm it only got worse. His lips were white and he became very inactive with a bloated stomach. I immediately rushed him to the hospital were they said he had liver issues and low blood levels after a blood test (confirmed). We gave him countless amounts of treatment for this liver issues but nothing worked (we took him to government hospital cause we understood dr shajees was a scam). I tried my best to give him everything and keep him alive. But then later I checked on chatgpt and realised that dr shajees was the reason for all this because the medicine they gave was not supposed for all cats and it might cause serious issues in some cats. It was supposed to be given in small amounts in a day and if it causes any issue immediately stop it but they never told us anything and only told us to give the entire bottle to him. Sadly on Dec 3 2025 he passed away at the government vetinary clinic cause he was unable to breath. Guy never take your cat here pls it was a simple ringworm on a perfectly healthy cat and they killed him. May his soul rest in peace 🕊️ Edit:If it was an underlying issue it's the doctors responsibility to check those underlying issues before treating him with such medicines...not only itracozanole but the injection too because I never received any bill or papers confirming which medicine was given to him and also doubt the injection. I talked to one of my friends and he told me he had bought his little kitten to your vetinary clinic. It was a perfectly fine cat but you guys gave him some shot which caused extreme tiredness in the kitten and passed away shortly after (within 1hour of bringing the kitten back from the vet). I am usually not a person to blame any business or defame any business and usually do not put any reviews but my cat is someone who I treated like my own child and always gave him homemade food such as boiled chicken with potato or pumpkin or boiled fish. I lived with pets and animals my entire life and I am not putting this review because of my sadness of my loss, but the reality. I do understand no business with ever take the blame but guys I don't trust these guys they were very careless with my cat and got him killed. Also I did report this issue to dr shajees by calling them the day he became sick and explained that he wasn't eating anything and was very weak. You guys just said that make sure he drinks water and said it's normal. But that same day his condition got so worse (night time) and rushed him to the government hospital because your clinic is far from my residence.

Highly recommend this place. Dr. Shaji is a go-to vet for our pets, and we are always satisfied with the care and service we receive. Yesterday, we took our dog in for grooming, and it was done to absolute perfection. The staff are incredibly friendly, caring, and attentive.
