Karma Chakra

The resort is located at the edge of the lake, and has an unrestricted view of the water. The construct of the resort is very unique and has water flowing underneath the walkways. Rooms are very spacious and well furnished. There is ample natural light. Each room has a balcony overlooking a part of the lake. The restaurant serves excellent food and has very good staff. The hotel reception and housekeeping team are also very helpful and responsive. The resort has a small pool, a small gym, recreational areas and outdoor seating by the lake.

A beautiful and peaceful place, very close to the backwaters, with a lovely view from the balcony. Thanks to the Karma team for keeping the property well maintained. The food was good, though slightly overpriced. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and a good experience.

It's one of my favourite places among the Karma properties. The staff is well mannered and always ready to help. It's decently priced. The service staff Joe was super nice during breakfast, he made sure I got my order fast and the way I wanted it.

We recently stayed at Karma Chakra Resort for a 2-night stay trip. Overall, the stay was pleasant — the service, rooms, and architecture made full use of the scenic surroundings, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. However, one issue significantly impacted our experience. We came for a short, peaceful break, but on the second day, the sales team approached us in person to promote another property. Instead of enjoying our limited time, we were pulled into a lengthy sales discussion. If sales are necessary, they should be communicated beforehand via email or phone — not during the stay. What made it even more uncomfortable was that, just to know the rates, we had to listen to the entire pitch. And when we declined, we were asked to sign paperwork confirming that we were not interested. This practice is unnecessary and unprofessional, and it affected the purpose of our trip. In all my travels — including Vietnam and Signature Bali — I have never encountered such a sales approach. This seems to happen mainly in some Indian properties and should be reconsidered. While the resort itself is beautiful, this sales pressure spoiled a major part of our experience and should be stopped.

What a beautiful location surrounded by nature! Have never been to a resort as beautiful, calm and peaceful. The food was delicious with a variety of options to suit every taste. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well maintained and the best part was the huge balcony offering the view of lake Vembanad. The staff were warm, polite, and always ready to help with a smile. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and definitely worth visiting again. And again!
