Service is pretty slow. However the centre is easy to locate. Staff members were all polite.
The pet hospital was an average experience. The staff were friendly, but not very knowledgeable. While they were able to provide basic care for my pet, they didn't seem to have a deep understanding of more complex issues. The facility was clean, but outdated. It could use some upgrades to make it more modern and comfortable for both pets and their owners. The wait time was longer than expected, but this may have been due to the high volume of patients at the time. However, it was still a bit frustrating to have to wait longer than anticipated. Extremely disappointed with the Government Veterinary Hospital, Kottayam. My 1.5-month-old kitten (weighing only 700 grams) was given an injection without being weighed properly or given a test dose. Soon after, the kitten started vomiting blood and died. The doctor’s indifferent attitude after the incident was deeply upsetting. Basic care and caution were clearly lacking. This was a heartbreaking experience, and I hope stricter protocols are followed to prevent this from happening to other pets.
Very poor and distressing experience. We were asked by the doctors to bring our kitten for an injection after a few weeks. Despite the kitten not appearing healthy enough, the injection was still given, without proper assessment or any explanation of risks. The kitten collapsed and died immediately after. Overall, the service was poor, unprofessional, and lacked even basic accountability.
The service of district veterinary hospital is so pathetic and disappointing. The staffs and doctor here busy with their own duties. Wandering around here and there they don't know what to do. The sick animals are struggling and waiting here. Who is responsible for this department ? Is there any authority to supervise this hospital? Too bad service and behaviour.
