Paadam by the backwaters

I recently visited and found the rooms neat and the property well maintained. The photos in the original ad were taken after the rainy season, but during the monsoon it’s an entirely different experience with a unique ambience. I’ve added some of my own photos from the rainy season to give a better feel of the place. The property is also conveniently located, not far from the main stream.

Great place. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility. Mr Sujith is very attentive to whatever we needed and made the stay really enjoyable. It’s a little more remote than other places so is very quiet and the rooms were perfect!

From the moment we arrived at Paadam By The Backwaters, we knew we had stumbled upon a truly special place. Tucked away near Kanjiram Jetty Road, this smaller property is the epitome of the "calm and peaceful atmosphere" it promises. It’s an immediate, tranquil escape from the hustle of city life. The setting is nothing short of idyllic. Imagine stepping out onto your private patio and being greeted by an endless expanse of lush green paddy fields and the gentle shimmer of the backwaters—it felt like a painting come to life. The accommodations themselves are elegantly designed—tasteful, minimalist, and exceptionally clean, with comfy beds that guarantee a restful sleep. The attention to detail in the room's aesthetics really elevates the experience. The property's beautifully maintained , It feels intimate, private, and utterly serene. A major highlight is its proximity to the spectacular Malarikkal view point. The caretaker, Sajith was instrumental in making our stay seamless. His hospitality was outstanding—warm, accommodating, and always ready to help with local information. The breakfast was a lovely start to the day—homely, fresh, and delicious. While the very last stretch of road leading to the property can be a bit bumpy, the reward of arriving at this picturesque and quiet haven makes the journey absolutely worthwhile. Not located in the main stream of Kumarakom, just surrounded by residential area but 100% privacy ensured. Kottayam town is just 3km. Before harvesting the the view is lush green and after harvesting the view is full of water. Any season worth visit property.

We had a short stay with this property , loved the place for it's cleaniness, peaceful environment, paddy field views, the care taker service, etc.it was rejuvenating experience overall.The care taker Mr.Sajith is very helpful & humble. It's very close to city centre. Since the road to the property was closed for some repair work ,we had to take a detour of around 1.3km to reach the property.The property has boating facility in the water canal infront itself.Has swiggy delivery to the property. Excellent property, good service, overall very nice experience......would definitely recommend for people who wanna stay & relax & unwind.

An excellent place to be with nature in a village ambience with all the comforts and facilities of a resort. The staff, especially Mr. Sajith did a great job in making our stay a great experience. You will feel like travelled back in time once you are there. The paddy fields, the canal, the boat ride, a truly incredible experience 😊
