Specially travelled from Delhi to do a professional dog groomer's course from Akram Bhai in Indore. Super happy with the experience. The dog boarding and training facility is very well managed keeping in mind the hygiene. The place looks super clean despite the fact that so many dogs and cats stay there. A Thoroughly Disappointing Grooming Experience at Dogsvilla (Scheme 140, Indore) Our recent experience at Dogsvilla for what should have been a routine grooming appointment for our Toy Pomeranian was nothing short of disastrous and has left us extremely disappointed. We are sharing this detailed account as a strong warning to other pet owners. Unprofessional Procedures and Lack of Transparency From the outset, the process felt highly unprofessional. We were immediately asked to stay outside while the grooming was being performed, with the staff citing this as a standard "norm of the place." This policy created a complete lack of transparency, preventing us from observing the care and handling of our pet. This isolation, we believe, may have contributed to our dog being mishandled during the session. Poor Execution and Harm to Our Pet Despite asking for a simple trimming and shaping, the service was executed so poorly that it resulted in harm to our small dog. After over two hours—an excessive duration for a simple groom on such a tiny dog—the service still could not be completed. When we finally inspected our dog, we were horrified to find that the fur had been cut extremely close to the skin, causing immediate redness and irritation. Furthermore, midway through the incomplete service, we were asked to pay the full amount. We complied in good faith, under the assumption that the service would be completed professionally and to a satisfactory standard. Unfortunately, our faith was utterly misplaced. Incomplete Service and Unsubstantiated Excuses To our utter shock and frustration, the owner returned our dog to us, stating that their shop hours were ending and that we would have to return the next day for them to complete the job. This is an unacceptable level of incompetence; a basic grooming for a dog of this size should not require multiple visits or be rushed due to closing time. As an excuse for the prolonged time and incomplete job, we were told that our dog had excessive knotting. This claim was entirely bewildering, as we brush our dog everyday and have never heard this about our pet before from other service providers. Our Toy Pomeranian is a very small dog, weighing hardly 2 kilograms and standing only 7 inches in height. Given these minimal dimensions, we cannot fathom what was being done for over two hours and at what pace, that such a simple grooming task could not be finished. Conclusion of Complete Failure We view this entire event as a complete failure on the part of Dogsvilla. The combination of poor service execution, physical harm to our pet, lack of transparency, and the inability to complete a simple task within a reasonable timeframe is wholly unacceptable. We will never return to Dogsvilla (Scheme 140, Indore) and strongly advise other pet parents against using their services
