I had a very distressing experience at Vetspot in Kukatpally recently. My Shih Tzu, Bear, hadn’t urinated for over two days, and we rushed him in for what was clearly an emergency. Unfortunately, the doctor on duty—who was not the usual vet we see there—seemed to downplay the urgency of the situation. He took three separate X-rays, each charged at a very high rate, but didn’t properly address Bear’s immediate need to have his bladder drained. Instead, he mentioned an enlarged prostate and suggested neutering the next day, leaving Bear in a dangerous situation overnight. In desperation, I had to find another vet at Pawfex in Suchitra who was kind enough to come in at midnight. This second vet immediately performed an ultrasound, found stones in Bear’s bladder, and successfully drained the urine that the first vet couldn’t handle. I am very disappointed with Vetspot’s handling of the situation. They not only overcharged for ineffective treatments but also didn’t seem to recognize the urgency of my dog’s condition. I hope they can improve their emergency care, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend them for urgent situations.

The staff handled my pet gently and the overall clinic environment was clean and organised. The charges were also reasonable compared to other clinics.
