Government Veterinary Hospital

Nice and friendly doctor and a clean open place. Though a bit far from the main city but worth taking your pets for the correct treatment. They don't force you for unwanted/unnecessary treatment and only recommend what is required. Would surely recommend them.

Overall experience from doctor side is good, but gov need to improve facilities of hospital, also should add some gov scheme for medicine. Govt should provide vaccine on discount rate will help people to get aware more. Doctors are very helpful, but gov need to extend their working hours and also provide good machine for better diagnose. Hospital doesn't contain single machine for any kind of diagnosis. I rate it 3 purely bases on doctor behaviour.

I was taking my dogs there since last 2 years but now it has shifted (temporarily) opposite the rear gate of Raja Ram Mohan Roy Academy. It's now more expensive than private clinics. The medicines prescribed are extremely expensive and the results are low. You can find the government offices work style and also some greed can be observed. I don't suggest now. Earlier the doctors were good.

I have seen vet doctor in multiple cities. And especially in Dehradun there are around 20-25 hospital for vets. Most of them are private and just there to mint money, and doctors in mostly government hospital do not have that kind of knowledge and skills. However, I was surprised and blessed to see the skills, knowledge, commitment and dedication of Dr. Urvashi. She is just phenomenon, knows everything in detail, diagnos the disease and treats it accordingly. Equally the staff there headed by here is corporative and knowledgeable. I was struggling to get cherry eye treatment for my dog, unfortunately he had cherry eye in both the eyes.i consulted almost 10 good private doctors and all were asking a bomb price for the treatment. Finally I approached Dr. Urvashi and she gave me the confidence that yes it will be treated successfully with minimal cost. The way she handed my puppy/son was like she is handling her own puppy. Her love and affectionate towards animals is a blessing for humanity. Dehradun is blessed to have her, and I thank her for everything. Highly recommended place, government should invest some money to make this hospital look better and provide more Medicine internally, rather than buying everything from outside. The staff and doctor are pretty good at their job. Empathetic towards the pets too. I took my dog who needed treatment for a wound infection as it got affected by maggots. They one by one treated the other pets and gave full attention to each pet. Called us again for dressing change. Really a good hospital and staff. 👍 P.S. - They only charge ₹40 and the medications for the treatment you need to buy from a close by pet shop.
