Govt Veterinary Hospital of Vivek

Recently went here with my dog. First i was skeptical but the doctor here is very knowledgeable and actually really cares for the animals. The staff is nice and helpful.

I don’t give low star rating till it is a real serious matter. I went with my 2 yrs old dog (who died ) 3 times here in last 1 and Half month, first time.. my dog was having itching and we took him here, the doctor didn’t came out to check the dog, he just asked us what was his problem and told another guy to give an injection, 2nd time he had a high fever and had become weak but than also the doctor just told his assistant to check temp and give 3 inj. And after some day (3-5) he again developed same symptoms and became too weak to even wag his tail ( during night time) so we took him to the hospital and showed him to same hospital but called one the doctor whom we knew, the new doctor told that he won’t be able to survive, our dog was at this last stage of the disease, he told it might be parvo or canine distemper and that if it was detected early he could have been saved. Our dog died after some time. I just want to say this at last that I was also at fault for not being able to take care of my dog and show him some place else, I should have understood the first time only that if a doctor don’t even come out to see the pet ( I took him there 2_3 times) and just tells his assistance to give inj then that means he/she don’t care that much about the pet, I don’t know if this is like a trend in govt. vet. hospital to not even take a look at the pet, but I won’t show ever show my pet here when I get one the next time ( if I will be able to ). I know that you(the doctor) is much much more educated in these matter but please investigate the pets whenever someone comes or atleast try to take a look at them, please.

The Doctor in this hospital is incompetent and hold very limited knowledge about other animals. He doesn't even look and examine the animal before prescribing any medicine. Avoid going to this hospital 🏥 ❌

My recent visit to Govt Veterinary Hospital in Raipur, Dehradun left me with mixed feelings. The hospital's spacious premises cater primarily to larger animals like cows, as explained by the doctor. Despite this focus, they do offer services for smaller pets like cats and dogs. Upon arrival, I found the doctor to be polite and understanding. They meticulously examined all the pets, including my cat, which weighed 1.8kg. However, I was puzzled as to why the hospital didn't utilize its indoor treatment area, opting instead for the office's backside space. While the hospital provided a prescription and directed me to the appropriate store for purchasing the medicine, the treatment procedure felt a bit unorthodox. My cat was placed on the floor for the drip, which may not have been the most ideal setup for smaller animals. In conclusion, while the Govt Veterinary Hospital offers thorough care for pets, there's room for improvement in utilizing their facilities more efficiently and maintaining standard procedures during treatment. Additionally, they should consider the diverse needs of pet owners and their furry companions, regardless of size, to ensure comprehensive veterinary care within the community.

The new doctor shailendra vashishth is very good with animals. He took care of our beloved dog and removed his tumor. Unfortunately our dog couldn't survive the same night but the efforts taken by whole team were commendable. I only wish that our Badshah could be alive but sadly he passed away.
