Worst experience ever. Even the sensitive case are handled by students who have minimal knowledge. They just experience with pets like trial and error. For my pet no proper diagnosis was done and each visit different medicines were prescribed. Even my pets blood sample was collected, inspite of her being very anemic. Next day, the report showed sample not collected, which means blood sample was missed. This is lack of professionalism and carelessness. We lost our dear pet because of inexperienced and uncapable treatment by the practicing students and Doctors in this college.

Madras Veterinary Hospital is a great place for pet parents, especially those from middle-class families or people who care for stray animals. Treatment and vaccinations are done at a very minimal cost — sometimes just a few hundred rupees. The doctors and staff are knowledgeable and usually handle pets with care. Some areas and facilities do need upgrading, and the place can get crowded at times, but it’s still a blessing for those who can’t afford private vet clinics. If you're patient and willing to wait, your pets will get good care here without breaking your wallet. 💉🐾❤️

Typical gov hospital with less importance to hygiene and only cash accepted even though it’s digital india era. Everything else is fine. Students get seniors advise before taking crucial decision.

After a long and confusing phase of visiting multiple private veterinary clinics without clear answers, it was finally Madras Veterinary Hospital that correctly diagnosed our pet with cancer. Until then, we were completely clueless about what was happening to him. For the past three months, we have been visiting this hospital for chemotherapy treatment. The care, empathy, and grounding nature shown by the doctors and staff towards pets is truly remarkable. Every doctor treats animals with compassion and patience, which gives immense strength to pet parents during such a difficult journey. This hospital has been a true support system for us. The diagnostic facilities, including advanced equipment, are state-of-the-art and impressive. The fees are extremely reasonable, making quality treatment accessible to everyone. The doctors are highly knowledgeable, especially the specialized unit faculty. My pet received excellent care and attention during the treatment process. However, be prepared for very long waiting times due to the sheer volume of cases they handle. The overall patient flow management could be significantly improved for a better experience. The hospital's experience with complicated and critical cases is unmatched. The pharmacy and other supportive staff are generally cooperative and helpful. For serious conditions and affordability, I would definitely recommend MVC Teaching Hospital.
