Today I visited Sanchu Animal Hospital, Anna Nagar with my 3-year-old Shih Tzu for grooming (zero trim). My dog is not cooperative when it comes to face grooming, and I clearly informed this at the front office before the grooming started. Unfortunately, my concerns were not taken seriously. The groomers did not listen properly and did not seem interested in handling my dog with patience. When grooming started, I stayed near my dog and held him during the body grooming. However, the groomer became aggressive and shouted at my dog whenever he moved, especially during face grooming. Another groomer joined, and I was asked to step out of the room. From outside, I could hear shouting. After some time, they said my dog was not cooperating and that they could not continue. When I went back inside, my dog was completely exhausted, frightened, and crying. I stayed near him again, and only then did they complete the grooming while my dog remained very silent. I strongly feel the groomers were not properly trained to handle non-cooperative dogs, even after I clearly informed them in advance. If this is the level of grooming, I could have gone to a local pet shop. I chose a premium hospital expecting professional and compassionate care, which I did not receive today. This was my second visit. During my first visit, Mr. Aravind handled the same situation very calmly and did an excellent job, which is why this experience was extremely disappointing. It has been more than 2 hours, and my dog is still hiding in his cage, very scared and crying. I don’t know what happened while I was asked to leave the room, but this experience has deeply affected him. This was a very bad experience, and I will never visit again. Thank you.
