WE LOST OUR DOG BECAUSE OF THEIR NEGLIGENCE — Please Read Before You Trust Them With Yours We left our 4-year-old golden retriever at this hostel from March 5 to March 19, 2025. When we picked her up, she was already unwell — vomiting multiple times with plastic pieces and other unknown things in it. We called the hostel 3-4 times, desperate to know what had happened, but they denied everything and took zero responsibility. We took her to the vet four days later because we knew something was wrong. Blood tests confirmed she had tick fever — something she could not have gotten from home as she was completely tick-free when we dropped her off. We lost her on April 4th. In the last 10 days of her life, we watched helplessly as her health deteriorated rapidly. First, her hemoglobin and platelet levels dropped, then she developed fluid in her stomach, then her liver was affected, and finally, she developed jaundice. Despite every effort and constant hospital visits, we couldn't save her. The most heartbreaking part? This could have been avoided. The hostel was shockingly careless. In the entire 15 days, they sent only 4 videos. We had to constantly call and message to ask for updates — many times they didn’t respond at all. There were 6 whole days with no communication — no texts, no videos, and no calls. When they finally replied, they gave excuses like “it was Holi” and “we were busy.” We will never know what actually happened in those days, but we do know this: our healthy, happy dog went in and never recovered. We have proof of our calls and messages, and all the medical records. Please, if you are considering this place — think again. We trusted them, and we paid the ultimate price. Nothing will bring our beloved dog back, but if this message saves even one other family from going through the same trauma — it’s worth it.

Monty was experiencing behavioral issues, such as growling at other dogs and people, and in some cases, even biting people—including myself. I was desperate to find a solution, especially since I had to go away for a month for work in Europe. I visited several dog hostels in the Mohali, Chandigarh, and Panchkula areas. They charged exorbitant fees and even asked for more money to address Monty’s behavioral problems. After a long search, a member of my dog-walking group, who lives in Sector 8, Chandigarh, recommended Imperial Dog Hostel. I was initially worried they wouldn't accept Monty or address his behavioral issues, but after speaking with the owner, Amrit, during a phone consultation, my worries were put to rest. He scheduled my visit to show me how Monty would be cared for at their home-based facility. I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism Amrit showed during the visit. He is very knowledgeable about dog behavior, nutrition, and exercise. Amrit conducted a full health check on Monty and discovered a piece of wood stuck in Monty's lower jaw, between his teeth, which was causing him discomfort and likely contributing to his growling. Amrit recommended a local vet who could perform the necessary operation on Monty. Thank you, Amrit and Aunty, for taking such good care of Monty. Your support means the world to me and my family.
