The Hosteller Amritsar, Near Golden Temple

This place offers incredible value for money. It's just a short stroll from the bus stand, and only a 15 to 20 minutes walk to the Golden Temple. The common area and café were inviting and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing or socializing. The staff ( Kulwant pawan aman manoj )were genuinely warm and helpful throughout my stay. The rooms are simple yet thoughtfully equipped for budget travelers—tea, coffee, towels, and even a toothbrush were provided. While there's no particular view, the space is clean, functional, and comfortable, making it a great base for exploring the city.

Great value for money. The rooms were cosy and comfortable, making the stay pleasant. The common space was a little small, but it didn’t really affect the overall experience. The location is good and convenient, and the staff was very helpful and polite throughout the stay. Overall, it was a nice experience and I’d love to visit again.

Had a really good stay at The Hosteller Amritsar. Big shoutout to Mr. Pawan and Mr. Almas for being super helpful and friendly. I checked in pretty late — around 2 AM — and Mr. Pawan made the whole process smooth and comfortable. He was very welcoming, explained everything patiently, and made sure I felt at ease even at that hour. Honestly, that kind of warmth after a long day really means a lot. Mr. Almas was also very kind and approachable, always ready to help. Great vibes, helpful staff I Would definitely recommend this place!

I booked a dorm stay in their 4-bed dorm room for my first night as I was arriving late in the evening and just needed a place to crash. The room itself was alright and not too congested (hostel rooms sometimes are) but there were some hygiene issues (bugs, dirt under beds), found 2-3 roaches were running around in the room. That was an uncomfortable experience first night. But the linens, bathroom status etc was quite good despite being a shared dormitory. The interior decors of the hostel common areas are also quite nicely done up and make the ambience cozy. However cleanliness and hygiene of the Room is a basic essential. Hence I had to move out of the dorm and book a pvt suite for the next night and although the cost was 3-4x higher, the deluxe room was definitely worth the upgrade in terms of Room size, cleanliness, quality of amenities etc. Can recommend if they improve upon the dorm room cleanliness. Plus a bonus shoutout to their Chef handling the unbox Kitchen - made some real homely feeling parathas which were also quite affordable. Helped make the stay a bit nicer. Kudos to the chef. Reception staff were welcoming and seemed approachable during checkin but their checkout timing policy is quite unfriendly , they don't allow check-ins before 2pm and then expect checkout by 11 am. After a 2 day stay and even after upgrading to a more expensive room, I'd requested them for just a 1 hour later check-out at noon time due to a genuine reason ; 12 pm is anyway the standard checkout time at every other hotel where the check-in happens after 1.. but they refused my simple request. The rigidity in this matter was unhelpful.
